Dealing with postpartum hair loss, I’ve been trying new systems to help my hair strengthen so I reduce the amount of breakage. I’ve been using these three systems consistently in the last 6 months and I wanted to share them with you!
I’m really picky about my hair products because not a lot of them on the market work for my grade of hair. I decided to give these a try because I love the brands and trust them.
The scent alone makes me a fan of this system but the fact that it works makes it that much better. It’s affordable and available at the drugstore. The Nourishing duo helps with smoothness and how frizzy my hair can be and I have seen less fallout when I used them together. I also use their touch up cream when I’m rocking my natural hair! Check out the Shampoo & Conditioner
Aveda’s Invanti Exfoliating System has been doing wonders for my scalp. The tingly minty feeling stimulates my hair follicles and I feel like my hair and scalp has had a spa day. I’ve been using Aveda for about 2 and a half months and I see a huge reduction in fall-out after each use! I used this system and recommend it!
Nexxus has some of my favorite shampoos and conditioners. I’ve been using the brand for years and I love how my hair feels with just one wash. The whole line has this nice refreshing tingling feeling on my scalp and rinses out very fast so I’m not using a ton of water. If you follow me on Instagram, I know you’ve seen my hair and every time I post pictures with my hair, I get so many compliments. The conditioner is my favorite out of the duo
As I said before, I’m very picky with products and tools I use on my hair and I only like to mention what works for me after using it for a while and I feel that these are amazing and are helping with my temporary hair loss.
Other things I’ve been doing to restore my hair
Using less heat, using a heat protector when I do use heat. I also try to use strengthening hair serums and balms to maintain my hair. My favorite style’s to wear are the topknot and the two braids. It really helps maintain how much hair I’m loosing.
I try to wash my hair 2 times a week and I use lukewarm water to wash and rinse. For drying, I’ll usually air dry or use a blow dryer on a low heat setting.
What are some of your favorite ways to maintain your hair? Do you have a product you’ll use forever? Share it in the comments so I can give them a try!
