My favorite thing to test is foundation. I’m not sure why, but I get so excited and I’m always on a mission to find a foundation that still looks like skin while covering up minor imperfections. Back when I first started YouTube, was when I actually started wearing foundation. Ever since then, I love trying them all!
Since I’m always testing out new ones on a daily basis, I wanted to share my top favorite ones from Sephora, Ulta and even Nordstrom. These are more expensive so consider this a guide to the best ones on my list!
The Best Matte Foundation for oily skin:
I love Laura Mercier’s Flawless Fusion Ultra-Long Wear Foundation because It controls the natural oils in my face for a cleaner look all day long. It comes in a pump and there are so many shades to choose from. You can pair it with the Flawless fusion concealer and finish with Laura’s Powder Glow for a beautiful light from within look. The Perfect Heat and Humidity Foundation:
I remember purchasing the Nars Skin Tint a while ago. I used it during my whole pregnancy because it was a no fuss style foundation. It has SPF and covers so well! It’s actually my first favorite out of all of the foundations I’m mentioning today. I love the sleek packaging and the shade is perfect for my skin tone. I highly recommend this one! It has more of a soft matte finish, but nothing overly drying and doesn’t look cakey If you use a small amount. Watch how I apply it in this fun video
A Great Light weight yet Full coverage Foundation:
Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Launched a new foundation that makes my skin look flawless without feeling heavy. There are a ton of shades and I love that It’s not heavy feeling or looking when applied to the skin. I love to use a brush for a natural look and a sponge for a flawless application.
Glowing skin with fine line plumping:
Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favorite celebrity makeup artists and the Magic foundation has been on my wish list for years! I finally had the chance to buy it and at first, I was a little underwhelmed until It sat on my face for a little bit and then I saw the literal magic happening. This foundation goes on more sheer; after it dries down, It looks like your own skin, but better! I prefer to use it with a brush over a sponge, but lightly buffing it makes my skin look amazing after 2 minutes or so!
Perfect coverage with a small amount:
Becca Cosmetics has some of the best face products that I use daily. The complexion creme is another favorite. If this was rated on my list, It would go number 2. The shade is on point and the finish is a mix between the Laura Mercier Ultra Flawless and Nars. If they had a baby, It would be this one. Pick it up now and you can see this wear test here
