Whenever I need to jump-start my body in the mornings I like to have Lemon Water. Lemons have many benefits that help with energy since they are packed with vitamin c along with naturally detoxifying your body. Water also has incredible benefits like hydration for your skin and keeping it clear from breakouts. I incorporate Lemon water into my daily routine after giving my morning gratitude and taking a shower. I made it a habit because I truly need the energy and instead of always relying on coffee, I think it’s an easy and healthier way to get it.

My favorite way to prepare my morning drink is to keep a big bottle of ice-cold water in my refrigerator for the morning. I have Lemons cut and ready to squeeze that I pick up from my local grocery store in a plastic bag, and once I wake up, I immediately grab it. Another great way is to heat up the water and drink it warm like a tea. If you want to add a little kick, cut a piece of ginger and add a little cayenne pepper. Let it steep for a few minutes and enjoy.
I try to drink the entire bottle of water before I start to cook my breakfast and run errands; once it’s finished, I’ll use a re-useable water bottle to take with me during my workouts so I remind myself to stay hydrated. I’ll admit i’m not the best when it comes to my daily water intake but I did make it a goal for 2016 using my free printable goal pages which you can download and use for yourself, so I make sure I drink a lot of water.
