In this post, I’m sharing my Must-have kid product(s). When It comes to my girls, I am always making sure I research and find the best hair, skin, and body products. Because their skin is delicate, I try to introduce more natural products or at least do my research before I try anything on them.
I recommend that you as their momma (or dad) do your own research. Never take anyone’s word for it. You know your children best and you have that #MomVibe/#DadVibe so do what feels right to you.
Consider this a guide that you can use when shopping for products for your little and older kids.
This product has helped me so much. My eldest daughter had baby acne and nothing helped. I tried leaving it alone, breast milk, purified water, and non-fragrance moisturizers. She didn’t have any allergies but I did know it was from the heat.
What is a heat rash?
Heat rash, also called prickly heat or miliaria, is a common condition in which areas of the skin feel prickly or sting due to overheating. It can itch a lot, but it’s not dangerous. It looks like tiny bumps surrounded by red skin. … Heat rash happens most often in hot, humid conditions.Google.com
I spoke to her pediatrician before using it on her by bringing it in to get her thoughts and professional opinion. She gave me the green light and I kid you not, within 24 hours my daughter’s face cleared up.
It wasn’t red and didn’t appear irritated anymore. I used it on her until she was five years old and switched to something else.
I now use it on my toddler daughter because she has the same skin type as my eldest. Her skin didn’t get as bad with the baby acne because I used it on her after every bath. It’s my go-to and must-have kid product of years to come! I’ll probably be using it on my grandchildren one day.
I wish I had this for my eldest daughter. We were stuck with other diaper creams but she responded well so it’s all good. For my baby daughter, my husband and I decided to try Aquaphor. We are preventative style parents so applying the ointment after a shower or before we seal a new diaper has been keeping rashes away. Even if she is a tad red, this stuff works.
I also love that it’s multi-purpose so for scratches or cuts, we felt it was great! no diaper rashes so far!
Another collection we wish we had almost nine years ago: Dove Baby. We use this on our baby girl. She has dry and sensitive skin. So since she was born, we gave the entire collection a try and we still use it for her.
the scent, how moisturizing it is and how it’s never caused a reaction is a reason why we as a family, use Dove. Yep, husband too!
As your baby becomes a toddler, this get’s more worth the price I paid. Diaper pails are the best thing you can get unless you prefer to take out every single diaper to your garbage can. (no judgment here)
I find it convenient, especially when you have a newborn and it’s in the middle of the night. I have not regretted this diaper pail and I had a different one with my eldest that didn’t help with the dirty diaper smell.
We did try off-brand liners and we prefer the munchkin brand. It contained the smell better and more diapers fit. But do what feels best for you!
When I was a first-time mom. I would be so concerned when my daughter had a stuffy nose or mucus. We had those bulb things that didn’t do much. This time around, I got the NoseFrida.
Before you start with “that’s gross” hear me out! A sick infant or child isn’t fun. Between puke and a stuffy nose, I lost sleep because I would wake up to make sure the head was elevated or I could hear them breathing.
I couldn’t sleep. Let me be honest. This thing not only got all the nasty snot out, but it allowed my baby to breathe. I still use it and she’s 2.
I’ll warn you that every time I have used it, I’ve gotten sick with the same cold. The filter isn’t really a “filter” but I’d take their sickness anytime to make sure they can breathe and not be miserable.
It comes with a blue foam that has a “filter”, the sucker and saline. It’s a bit traumatic at first, but when you see the stuff you’re getting out of their nose, you’ll be okay with it. Or… puke. I have a weak stomach but not that bad. This made my must-have kid product list the first time I used it.
I’ll always have Baby Vicks on hand. It’s the product that I use and it helps so much. Other brands offer different variations, but this is my choice. They also have the ones you can put into the vapor humidifier.
It’s not recommended to use directly on infants. Speak with your child’s doctor for their expert medical opinion.
The second part of this would be a humidifier. It’s perfect to add some moisture to the air since it’s not recommended that you give infants/toddlers cold medications.
I love these cups for my toddler. It’s super easy to clean and easy for her to hold. All of her drinks stay cold. Did I mention easy to clean? Do away with those older style sippy cups that have a million parts to clean. Try these! They also taught her how to drink out of regular cups much earlier than it did with my eldest.
My goal was to have cold beverages while she’s in school. It does its purpose and everyone in her class assumes it’s the fancy one. I call that a Kid Product win!
My girls have long but fine hair. It tangles easily so the product I use on both of them is from Suave. I can’t have anything with too much oil because then it looks like they are sweaty and that isn’t cute either.
I’ve been looking for other brands to try, but so far Suave has done a great job. I’ll need to add something else for my eldest daughter’s hair soon; however, until then, I’ll continue to use good shampoo and conditioner and use the detangler.
When you have newborns and they get congestion or colds, it’s recommended that you don’t give them medication. When I was nursing, I couldn’t take anything either. So, I’ve always used a humidifier and it’s one of the best things for night time and nap time.
There are some models that have a place to put essential oils so we like to use eucalyptus and lavender. As the flu and cold season is upon us, we have it on for our girls so it can help them heal and breathe easier.
If you look in my purse, I have snacks. Cheerios, crackers and sometimes lollipops. I like to keep these reusable snack bags that are easy and keeps all the snacks I bring fresh.
I love that they are reusable so I don’t have to continue buying them and I love that I can grab them and pass them to both girls while we’re on our way to an event or meeting. I like these
