Skincare has always been a priority for me. Having Acne, hyperpigmentation, and discoloration as a teen made me aware of different products and how they work.
As a teen, I would always try different drugstore skincare in hopes of finding gems that work on par or better than high-end.
You don’t have to always splurge; however, If you do, splurge on products that are proven to give results to help you resolve your skin issues.
Paula’s choice is a brand I have come to adore. Their products are useful and worth every penny. Not everything that works for me will be for you. However, I’ve tried a lot of their skincare products, and I believe that I could steer you in the right direction.
BEST IN BRAND: PAULA’S CHOICE
2% Skin Perfecting BHA Liquid is my top favorite product from the brand. It’s a highly effective exfoliator that helps reveal gorgeous skin. I believe this is their top seller and there is a reason.
Not sure what BHA is? It stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid which means it sheds built-up layers of skin. The Skin Perfecting BHA is a unique leave-on liquid that you can use daily. This clears and minimizes pores too!
C15 Super Booster is a Concentrate that has 15% pure vitamin C brightens uneven skin while improving the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. I love Vitamin C. I use it in my body lotions and take it in supplement form daily.
It has helped with my acne marks, which tend to turn dark pretty fast. I cannot speak to the wrinkles because I don’t have any that are visible yet. But I’m all about prevention, so I’ll continue to use it!
I’ve been into serums for a long time. Before they were the popular thing to do, I was using them. If you aren’t sure what a serum does, a lot of the time they are a boost of specific ingredients for your skincare routine.
For instance: The Power Berry Serum promotes a healthy glow by giving your skin natural berry antioxidants.
If you hear my name, you’ll most likely know me for a few things. Hydrated skin is one of them. I’ve been loving this moisturizer because I have a combination skin type. Parts of my face are dry, but this is a happy medium because it’s not heavy yet moisturizes like it’s a rich cream.
Some key points of this moisturizer are:
- Omegas 3, 6 & 9 strengthen moisture barrier
- Passion fruit & guava extracts soothe stressed skin
- Lightweight, whipped texture locks in hydration
This skincare product is more of a newer addition to my collection. But I fell in love with it because It gives me the dewy supple base for makeup application while protecting my skin with SPF 50.
A little goes a long way with the fluid, and the texture is so smooth. The formula isn’t dense; it’s thinner and runny. But In the way you want a hydrating fluid to be without the grease or heaviness. I use this on non-makeup days too! It’s probably up there with the BHA Liquid. But It’s a great pick.
Essential Glow works very similarly. It has SPF 30 and has an illuminating moisture shield. With 12 antioxidants to combat environmental damage, this is the perfect product under makeup.
It’s light-weight and illuminates on my skin. I love it and use it as my last step on my morning skincare routine. I love how it makes my foundation or tinted moisturizer look fresh.
As I continue to try more from the brand, I’ll update this post so you’ll always have a list that you can use the next time you plan to shop from the brand. If you’ve tried Paula’s Choice, I’d love to read about your favorite products.
