Laura Mercier is one of my top favorite brands. The first product I ever purchased was the Translucent Loose setting powder and from there, I fell in love. Today, I’m sharing the many ways I use the Illuminator powder. Not only is this powder gorgeous on the skin, but it’s also unusual for so many other things too! A few days ago I commented how much I loved their illuminator on Instagram and a follow of theirs asked how to use it. I share how I used it and decided to share that here on my blog too!
I love a dust of illumination on my lids for days when I want to look extra bronzy. I take their illuminator in the shade Seduction. I apply it with their eyeshadow crease brush (I’m also obsessing over this brush) in all the areas where the light reflects for a glow.
It’s a highlighter, so of course, I use this all over the high points of my face for an all over glow to my skin. The powder isn’t chunky and melts perfectly! I love using it without foundation when I’m not trying to wear a ton of makeup, but glow! I love using the Fan brush to keep it light and build if needed.
If you want an all over body glow, try mixing it with a little of your favorite body oil. Perfect, in the summertime! You can also lightly dust it on using the fan brush for a strategically placed look. I like to apply it to my collarbone, shoulders, and legs!
Here’s an easy tip if you want your makeup to match or add a hint of glow to your lips. I love using Addiction for this tip. After lipgloss or lipstick application, dab a little on top and blend.
